This Winter we have a fabulous events programme which starts with our annual Christmas youth concert on 10 December. This year, the award-winning musician Siobhan Miller plays alongside some of the best young talent in Southern Scotland. You can order your tickets for the concert here or in person at the Midsteeple Box office in Dumfries. Members of the Robert Burns Ellisland Trust have already received an email with their discount for these events. Just seven years after launching her solo career, Siobhan, pictured, is at the forefront of Scottish folk music and has just released her fifth album, Bloom. Her arresting, effortless voice means she has won the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards ‘Singer of the Year’ title an unprecedented three times, alongside a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Traditional Track.
Our other exciting events this Winter include Bringing in the Bells at the Home of Auld Lang Syne on Hogmanay. Don’t miss this unique party in the Tam o Shanter barn. There will be musical entertainment and warming winter food.
Next year we will have a Burns Brunch for families in January and a celebration of Jean Armour’s birthday on 25 February with Robyn Stapleton. You can book them all here or collect the tickets from the Midsteeple Box Office in Dumfries.
Keep up to date with what’s going on at Ellisland
