This summer, we brought history to life for primary-aged children with our ‘A Day in the Life of Jean Armour’ workshops. At Ellisland Farm, young learners stepped back in time and experienced the art of butter making, cheese making, and rolled candle making.
Through these hands-on activities, children not only learned traditional skills but also gained insight into the daily life of Jean Armour, the incredible wife of Scotland’s beloved poet, Robert Burns. Our workshops offered a unique opportunity for children to connect with the past and understand the rich cultural heritage of Ellisland Farm.
We are thrilled to see young minds light up with curiosity and enthusiasm as they churned butter, crafted cheese, and rolled candles, all while discovering the legacy of Jean Armour and Robert Burns. Stay tuned for more exciting events and workshops at Ellisland Farm!
