Kitchen Ceilidh, Weds 22 April, 7-9.30pm, postponed, new date to be confirmed

Join us in the farm kitchen for an evening of entertainment much like those in the time of Burns.  We know that Robert and his family held similar gatherings in the days when people had to make their own entertainment.  Our regular Kitchen Ceilidh’s invite our talented audience to do a ‘turn’; often a song, story. music or recitation.  If you would like to perform, please contact Sue Hughes, so that we can add you to the programme.

£7 adults, £5 children including refreshments.  Due to the domestic proportions of the performance space, places are limited, so book early.  Tickets available from Ellisland, Midsteeple Box Office and

Painting of Ellisland Farm

Burns experienced his most creative and fruitful years here at Ellisland. He found great poetic inspiration in the beauty of the surrounding countryside, the various people he met and the events he witnessed whilst living here.
