Mostly Ghostly Presents… Enchanting Ellisland
Tour a magical landscape steeped in history and lore
Once home to Robert Burns and the inspiration behind his epic masterpiece Tam o’ Shanter, Ellisland Farm is a rustic, riverside location rich in history and folklore. Face the past and discover a collection of curious tales, both from Ellisland and her environs: the tragic story of a wise witch-woman, hauntings that terrified residents of a local farmhouse and a swan whose image brings death…
Ellisland itself is home to many a spine-tingling tale: mysterious children, unexplained cries and a lady with a golden glow reveal a different side to this much-loved visitor attraction.
Tour features a walk in Burns’ footsteps to Friars Carse Hermitage (warm clothes and walking boots essential), where guests can absorb the unique atmosphere as we introduce characters and events that helped shape our local heritage…
