The friends of Ellisland are delighted that Visit Scotland has confirmed that Ellisland Farm has been given the award of a 3 star Visitor Attraction in the Scottish Tourist Board Grading Scheme 2007.


Chairman Ronnie Cairns said-"This award is the result of the efforts of the Ellisland Trust and those of our members, who give their time and effort in improving and maintaining the facilities.Our curator, Les Byers, is always on hand to give a guided tour and answer any questions on the life of Robert Burns. Improvements and maintenance are ongoing tasks for laying a great foundation for the future and anyone making a repeat visit will see the improvements which have been made. It is a fantastic place where you can take in the atmosphere, learn more about Robert Burns and enjoy beautiful walks along the banks of the river Nith".
