this picture we see his pistol, sword, weight's and measures
used by him in his heroic and sometimes very dangerous employment
as an exiseman .
The Dumfries Burns Club's extensive Burns Library is on display in the large bookcases. Special arrangements may be made for research access . The collection of books in the desk type display case is the complete set of copies of Burns' manuscripts collected by Peter Westwood.
The other section of the case houses a display of coins and tokens used in Burns lifetime when boddles and groats mixed with pennies.
The carved sculptures show scenes from Burns Poems is by Jim Hare and was created by him for the Burns Bicentenary and kindly gifted to the Friends of Ellisland.
