Open Byre and Original Byre

Here
we can see the original byre on the right and the open byre
on the left, out of the picture to the left is the open courtyard
leading to the orchard.

| During
Burns' stay at Ellisland he converted the building into the
open byre where he would have been able to fix all his carts
and ploughs. You can also take a look at all the period tools
and implements that Les Byers and previous curators have collected
and restored. |
